Hi, just bought a ‘17 v8 supercharged. My first RR. Whining noise, matches exact downshifting from around 4th to 3rd to 2nd. RR dealership said transfer case. Got that replaced for thousands but guess what? Sound is still there! Does not occur any other time except during downshift. Wondering if I bought something I shouldn’t have. Please help!

My '14 5.0 SC developed a similar whining noise that matches downshifting about 2-3 months ago. I serviced the transfer case doing a double flush but the noise persists.

My guess is front differential, similar situation on my Disco2.
