Hi Guys,

I am changing wheels and tires. I am swapping my 19's for a set of 5 spoke Disco 3 rims to fit Cooper Zeon LTZ's. I though I would have to change the wheelnuts to get Discovery 3 nuts but our LR spares people here just rang me and said my stud thread would be different than those nuts. Does anyone know if that is the case?

I have a 2002 L322 Vogue with the standard black wheelnuts now.

I'd appreciate any help please.

Regards,
Damo.

sounds like a load of bollox to me.

Post '06 RR's changed the wheel nuts from the black ones to the silver ones ... which was probably to go inline with the release of the Disco 3 ... which on release used the same part number for the silver wheel nuts.

So go with whatever type of wheel nut that was used with the alloy wheel originally. ( so if wheels off a Disco 3, then use the Disco 3 silver ones )

The stud thread should be exactly the same.

You can use the Disco wheels on a MK111 but the offset is 4mm different and will make the wheels stick out further.

You must use the silver nuts with the tapered end,the black nuts have flat ends.

Thanks Guys, that is what I thought. 4mm difference in offset seems pretty minor too so I can't see any concern there.

Cheers,
Damo
