I know it sounds like a stupid question but I am not sure exactly what trim panel to remove in order to access the receiver module. I have read many posts and they all tell me its somewhere in the rear right quarter of the car but beyond that I can't find any info.

Is it under the panel covering the C post or the D post, in the headlining or under the plastic at the side of the load space?

Do I need any tools to remove the panel or does it just unclip?

Thanks

Richard

It is under the right hand parcel cover support shelf. It is right next to the radio antenna amplifier. There are two antennas in the right rear glass One for AM/FM and one for the remote. There is a single antenna in the left rear glass for FM only.

To remove he side shelf/support there is one screw your have to fold side passenger rear seat back down to reach. There are three push pin retaining clips on the edge of the plastic. These you can very gently pry out as is. Then take a tiny flat screw driver and push the "pin" in the center out a bit. when reinstall the three retaining clips insert them with the pin out there will be no resistance when you push the center pin back in flush, it will spread the back tabs and firmly secure the plastic shelf. One caution: When installing the shelf make sure NOT to get the seat back release button trapped under the shelf. Make sure the release button is sticking up through it's hole. I have had on two occasions where I forgot to check that... At least it was one of my p38s and not a customer's.

Thanks very much RRToadHall, armed with the information you supplied I easily found and disconnected the receiver yesterday evening. Now I need to wait for a few days and see if my battery holds its charge.
