Just bought a 2002 4.6 HSE with 62,000 miles from the original owner.

So far, I have replaced front and rear airsprings. I'm pretty picky and want an as close to new stock truck as possible.

The car spent it's life in the Virgin Islands, which ruined just about every piece of rubber bushing on the truck.

The list remains:

Front height sensors
Ball joints
Drag rod ends
Tie rod ends
Sway bar links
Steering damper

Valve cover gaskets
Oil pan gasket (possibly)

Control module for climate controls
Blend motors all around
Subwoofer repair

New front bumper
Side mirrors
Wheels refinished

Wheels balanced/alignment

Still you're gonna end up with one of the last P38's with very low mileage on it and once you've tidied it all up it'll be we'll worth the time and effort.

That's a really short list of repairs/maintenance.

I've had the same scenario... spent about half what I did on the car in maintenance/repairs etc... but still - it's worth it!
