I see mentioned that CANBUS is from 2005, is this from the start of the touchscreen satnav still with the BMW engine or was it from the start of the Jag engines.

i thought that all the l322's had canbus up to 2005, from then on its called mostbus, but i could be wrong

CAN (Controlled Area Network) bus was implemented in some vehicles in the late '80's, and was used on pre-2005 (2004 MY for UK owners) Mk-III Rovers. The 2005 MY (what UK owners call 2004 MY) was the MOST fiber optic system.
