Morning Guys

Sorry my first post is a problem!

Went to start my 2004 RR Vogue 3.0td6 this morning, and the battery was flat. On trying to jumpstart it, I'm met by a message in the display under the instrument binnacle (where the trip computer displays on rotation) saying CODE---- . Car isnt event turning over with this, despite being hooked up to another battery? (trying a brand new battery later)

Have visited the dealer (400yds away) to ask them and ask for the code - but they claim my car doesnt have an EKA code, and they have no idea what this could be...........

Cant find any mention of this in the user manuals either!!! :naughty:

any ideas what code it is reffering to? :? :? :?

Thought it may be an EKA code but apparently that was on older cars?

Hugely appreciate your help and advice in advance

Andy

Background ;

Picked up a 12/2004 RR Vogue 3.0td6 yesterday, and had a great drive back from Manchester to Edinburgh. Its going to be a workhorse for my company, and after toying with a Disco went for the RR instead. Loving it till this morning :?

The code ---- is documented in the user manual and the dealer should know how to resolve it. I will not post directly here how to solve it as it is a security feature of the vehicle. It is not an EKA code. I'm sorry not to give a simple answer but it would kind of defeat the point in having it on the vehicles. The manual will tell you how to reset this.

Hi Lee

thanks for that - sent you a pm about it.

I've just gone through the 284 pages of the owners handbook, but cant find anything about it?

Still scratching my head at this one

cheers

still no further on with this despite 2 trips to the dealer (without RR), and speaking to one of the technicians on Land Rover assist!

ahhhhhh - brand new battery now, but still no further on - the amount of time LR staff seem to think i have to spare to fix this issue and speak to people :roll:

Here's to better results tomorrow - I'm starting to think it must be diagnostic related? No buttons seem to have any impact entering the code?

I cant believe that between Edinburghs biggest dealer and LR Assist no-one has ever come across this :?

Do you have the nav screen with two round buttons either side? One for the vol and the other generally for the navigation input and menu selections? The right one (UK at least) is the one used to input the code. The PM suggestion should have cleared it... how odd.

Page 9 of the Audio TV and Navigation book details the procedure for inputing the code;

Ignitions key to "I"
Turn right rotary control until first digit of code appears, press control in to confirm.. repeat for other digits then select deactivate.

Screw up three times and the alarm should sound.
