I own a 1990 Vogue SE 3.9 Efi and I am having problems with the water temperature sender that is mounted in the inlet manifold. However there also appears to be a water temperature switch mounted in the thermostat housing. Can anyone let me know what this switch does as it seems to be independent from the temperature transducer that is used by the fuel injection hot wire system?
I also cannot locate this water temperature switch on any wiring diagrams, again can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks, any advice would be appreciated.

It's different to my system, but i would imagine one is for the gauge or maybe aux fans. The other is, as you say for the EFi ECU (which might control the gauge, not sure exactly for this model).

Stand in front of your vehicle.

The large temp switch on your thermostat housing is for the aux. fans.
The single tab temp switch below and to the left of the thermostat is for your gauge.
The double terminal rectangular plug on top and to the right of the thermostat is for EFI.
