Hello

Did a search but not conclusive.
Are broken water pumps on these engines common?
Mine has done 83,000 and last night i thought the belt was squeeling, funny as i had just changed it about 500 miles ago. Had a look today and it looks like the pully is loose on the pump, but it is tight, Bearings?

I have had to top up the water a coulpe of times, not much, but i cant see any water leaking from the pump.
One post i read said that you may loose a little water which is an indication that the pump is about to fail.
Am i correct in replacing the pump and is it a difficult job, or as i can see, not too bad.
Are there any procedures that i should follow to replace the pump.

Thank you

John
