I have a Vouge se 6 months old with sliding panoramic roof. The ends of the side seals on the roof look to have been eaten away about 25mm Long only on the off side seal. Also the center seal where the glass panel meet the same in the center. Anyone else had this problem?. Range Rover dealer suggest vandalism by birds and do not consider it a warranty fault. £450 to replace.

I gotta say that is a new excuse for a dealer. I have never heard of any roof seals on any make of car being eaten by birds.

Now soy based electrical insulation being eaten by rodents is a real thing.

I don't know about your market, but in North America, there are two technical bulletins that seem like they could encompass your issue:

LTB00891NAS2 "Roof Opening Panel Rear Glass Seal Loose"
LTB00861NAS2 "Roof Moulding Loose / Adrift"

I'd have your dealership cross-reference those if possible to see if a correlated technical bulletin applies to your situation.

Hi did you ever get this sorted I have a 2014 sport obviously out of guarantee but the rubber is beginning to break up on the fixed glass panel where the opening section meets it looking to change the seal but can’t figure how to get it off or what part is needed

Just for info seems this part might perish. Easy fix £54 from Range Rover and about an hours work
just-pop the clip on black sunroof side trims off and tilt the roof the seal is just located in a lip in the side and front of the rear glass panel bit of the usual washing up liquid to help it push in 👍🏻
