My viscous coupling went bad in my blue 95 a while back and I've put off fixing it for a while now but I think I finally have time to tackle the project. I have never done a VC replacement before and there doesn't seem to be much in the shop manual about it. Does anyone know how to replace one? Thanks!

I haven't done this before, but, with a little help from google I found this:

Since the viscous coupling is the same between vehicles in this situation, the steps should be pretty similar

Ashcroft provides the following:
1) Remove front prop shaft
2) Drain oil from transfer box
3) Support gearbox and remove right hand gearbox mount
4) Remove bolt holding Viscous Coupling housing to transfer box
5) Rotate, to break silicone, and remove Viscous Coupling housing
6) Remove flange nut and flange and press out Viscous Coupling
7) Clean all joint faces
Replace Viscous Coupling and reassemble in reverse order

ashcroft transmission offers it at a very good price, after the dollar to pound exchange and shipping it come out lower than rn or ab asking nearly $1,200.00
