I am excited to be a part of the Range Rover Community and look forward to assist everyone with all your tuning needs and providing great customer service. Range Rover has always been one of my favorite SUV’s in the market. It’s like driving a fast couch :lol:

The Velos Stage 2 Performance Software (tune) for the Range Rover 5.0 is a complete remap of the ECU and increases your Range Rover’s output by over 15%. With peak gains of 88 lb ft of torque and 85 HP the Velos Performance upgrade for your Range Rover is a must for the enthusiasts looking to maximize their Range Rover’s output without any compromise. The remap consist of adjustments to several maps including fuel, ignition, throttle, boost, and other vital area required for the vehicle to operate as intended from the manufacturer. With plenty of Room on the table as proven by the Range Rover SVR the changes to several mapping areas as well as torque limiters allow the 5.0 motor to operate at full potential while staying well within safety parameters.

Through careful remapping they were able to increase the cars output by 88 lb ft of torque and 85 hp at 5700 RPM (as seen on our dyne chart below). Our performance software upgrade for the Range Rover provides the consumer with impressive gains that can be expected anywhere in the World.

certain applications people go with catless set ups but its very rare in the Range Rover community but there are solutions for it.

Curious on the pronounced dip to the tuned torque and power curves right around 6K RPM. That usually indicates knock detected and pulled timing. Care to comment?

Hey Jim,

No there is no knock or timing being pulled on these, just the nature of these Rover/Jag curves. Log shows no knock or any timing being pulled, these are also not timing heavy since they are so detuned via torque limiters etc. Fuel around this part is on the super conservative end due to the nature of these, first around 5k then 6k to take load off of the motor. Conditions are on the hot end here so we are a tad more conservative and also stay away from pulleys, etc.

We have 95 Unleaded here in ZA, would the remap just adapt to the fuel, or will it need a specific map?


Please could you just run through the process to upload the map, or point us to a video if you have one? I'm assuming we would need to remove the map before visiting the dealer for services, as this would be detected and void the warranty?

And finally, you haven't mentioned the pricing

Naks, hope all is well. 95 Ron is like our 91 Octane but to answer your question on the fuel, the tune will be made specific to your fuel type.

The tuning we offer is a read, edit, and write processes which mean we take the existing software and make changes and then that is loaded back onto your vehicle. The software is not detectable at the dealership level. However, we do recommend returning the vehicle to stock prior to a dealer visit mainly because if the software is updated it allows us to reread the new version for new software. (if software is updated, when vehicle is modified then we are required to reset the device at a cost). You do have the option with the Personal Tuner to return your car back to stock whenever you want and then load the file back. We don't have a video but we do have detailed instructions and best of all we are here to assist every step of the way. We are only a phone call away `)

Installed the Stage 2 tune last night with stop/start disabled and SVR-like exhaust notes. Initial feedback is nothing but positive, install process was cake (and I am far from a gear head), and customer service was exceptional.

Throttle lag that I experienced stock and with another tune was noticeably improved and exhaust sound was pretty cool compared to stock. Will come back with additional notes once I get some more miles in, but highly recommend reaching out to Carlos if in the market for a tune.
