There seems to be little intelligence in the media as far as timing for the Velar SVR being available other than October or end of this year. Anyone get any information from their dealer as far as when the SVR can be ordered and what is the target delivery date.

Hate to repeat myself but there has been no new intelligence for some time now about timing or details about the Velar SVR. Anyone have any new information about the vehicle?

Still no sign of the Velar SVR being officially launched. No details on specs available either. Has this model been significantly delayed?

Yet another reason to never believe car rags when they announce a date for release. Since JLR has never made a peep about an SVR Velar for 2019 it was most likely just an editor's fantasy article.

well it wont be the tried and true 5.0 SC... unless they squirreled away bunch of engines in preparation for the expiration of the Ford engine supply contract.

LMAO, remember folks... Ford's supply contract for ALL engines expired months ago. The entire SVR program is dead.
you keep saying that but isn't the contract ending 3 months earlier than originally planned in September 2020. That will give them an entire year to manufacture them with the same engines

I am just going on all the news reports in late 2017 when they announced cutting the contract short by three months. it seems that every news outlet covered it back then. it does seem to make sense in timeline if the sv ab velar is only going to be for one year.

here are just a couple of links:
