Got a question, could not find on the manual.

Does the internal diameter of the Vacuum hoses matter when replacing them?

I have a few vacuum hoses that are rotting and need them replaced. I know you can buy the "cruise control" kit from the RN and AB shops but i want to know if I can just get this at my local parts store. All i need to do is replace a couple of hoses coming off the top of then engine and would like to replace the cruise control ones also... any help is appreciated! thanks!

 well I would assume that if the internal diameter was the wrong size it would not fit. Why would you not replace with the same diameter?

Well, I don't think I can properly measure the diameter b/c the hoses are pretty deteriorated. So I wonder if the wrong diameter goes in, will it screw up the vacuum. I am assuming that it matters or else they wouldn't make different sizes right?
I guess there is only one way to find out!

snip a section off and pick up the closest size without going over... rather like The Price is Right. If you go over in size it won't seal and you will suck... air. Too small and there aint no way you are goinna get the bugger on the fittings no matter how much crisco you use. A slightly smaller size can be warmed up to fit. However I would be willing to bet that your local parts house ahs the correct item though.
