Sure I posted this a few hours ago but cannnot see it - apologies if duplicated!

Just used the car this morning and all fine - then my wife fired it up and left it a few minutes while lodaing, and complained of a load of smoke pouring out of it (whereupon she switched it off) - I put this down to a leaking Oil Filter gasket dropping oil somewhere hot (its being serviced next week and I had checked oil level is fine).

But now when I try to start the car there is nothing - no starter motor action - and the temp gauge shows off the scale hot (the car is stone cold). Maybe this is a standard pre start indication? Battery should be fine as used regular.

Any help much appreciated.
