Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and I recently purchased a 2008 RRS HSE. I had a screeching noise that was intermittent and a parking brake fault that appeared and went away. Decided to give the manual unjamming procedure a go and was successful. After unjamming, I went and adjusted the shoes which were also just serviced.

After doing the above procedures, is there anything else I need to do before I try the button inside the cab? I don't want to have gone through all that only to have it lock up.

Thank you in advance.
Chris

UPDATE: I pulled the brake rotor per my LR mechanic and the cable was not attached to the shoe. Hence when I initially pressed the button it still squealed and screeched. I had to unjam the actuator again and reconnect the shoes to the cable. I did the adjustment on both shoes and tightened everything back up. Hesitantly, I pressed the button and the EPB worked like day one! So all is fixed and my EPB is good now. Thanks all!
