You need to remove the tweeter. I did a thing where I added puddle lamps to the mirrors, so I've done this. However, I managed to break both speaker housing clips because of the way they snap in. They go back into place, but I've added double-sticky to make them not shake.
Just study the order and direction of the pull motion below.
Also, the plug for the mirror harness goes down the door a few inches, so you may need to remove the door panel too.
