Hi all,

Recently got my RRS ATB 5.0L SC tuned, I had a pulley installed as well. I went with PP performance/Evolve Technik.

Very happy with the results. We tried to check the power on a dyno, however, the car was making too much torque and kept slipping off. So I'll be going in on Monday to get it done again, when more experienced staff will be in to strap it down/monitor the car better.

Mods:
Startech Exhaust (The exhaust was fitted by Active Motorwerke in Melbourne, http://activemotorwerke.com.au/)
Air Filters.
Pulley/Tune.

Since I couldn't get power readings for just yet, for now I can give you the best 0-100 km/h time, which was 4.19. So 0-60 mph should be around 4 flat I'm assuming.

Dyno sheets to follow soon....

Thanks!

Feels amazing! Obviously that is stupid quick for a vehicle that size, I'll post a full review up with dyno sheet. Hopefully tomorrow. :)

Hi all,

So, the vehicle made about 330 awkw, which is about 442 whp.
It was a warm day and it was run in 5th gear.
I am happy with the result overall. Easy power gains for minimal effort.
I hope that someone has/can do a stock power run and post here what the results were, as I don't really have a baseline to compare with. Especially given that with AWD cars drivetrain loss is anywhere from 25-35 percent.

In terms of the drive, the power seems to hit harder, sooner. It doesn't feel like a huge difference (the sort that makes you drop your jaw in disbelief), but it feels a fair bit quicker (and that is, given dyno results and 0-100 testing). It does throw you back more and traction light shows up a lot more now, so I just disable it whenever I want to engage in a bit of spirited driving. The car is still very stable with traction off. Off the line, once moving, it doesn't seem to stop. There is not much traction loss even when launching.

From what I can tell, all the tunes on the market are fairly similar in terms of results. I can highly recommend getting it done. ECU Tuning Group easily have the most experience, but other players on the market offer the same service and on face value, the same results. There are a few piggy back options as well, but I felt that they were too expensive for what they were.

Apparently the standard downpipes are extremely restrictive and good gains can be had if you replace them, so that's my next step and I'll again update this thread once I do. I think that will be in terms of 'go fast' mods.

Thanks all.

Awesome, would love to hear an update on those downpipes. Btw how much does that startech exhaust run if you dont mind me asking?

Hey mate,

Didn't end up getting the 'catless' pipes. I heard one in my area that had that done and the car sounded very raw and rough. It was stupidly loud and extremely unpleasant.

With the startech exhaust, you still have the refined sound. At low revs it sounds nice and is not obtrusive. At high revs it sounds amazing and produces one of the best sounds a v8 can make.

I did a review on the exhaust so will find that thread and bump it. From memory it was around 4 or 5k USD.
