Tune/remap

So BAS does not do a tune for the 5.0 SC (at least the L320, I didn't ask about the 494). I find that a little confusing since it's probably one of the more popular engines and stands to gain the most from a tune. Anyway, does that mean I have to go and buy another handheld from a tuner ?

Thanks,

We're in Western Canada too!
Hmm, I think this post got moved, this was supposed to be for GAP. Anyway, I have been looking at your tune as well Stuart.

Thanks,
Win7, GAP does diagnostics and their gear also does suspension adjustments. They are not into tuning as far as I know. If they are, they haven't announced it here.

No this thread has not been moved thus my initial question as to who is BAS... which you have not answered... nor have you answered what "handheld" is about.

IF you are actually looking for tuning/remap as your title says, then Stuart is your go to guy. The folks here that have already taken advantage of their services are more than impressed with the results and customer service. They have an extensive detailed post in this section for your engine. There also details for the 494 SC in their vendor section below.
Also, we are currently working on a group buy with Stuart.
I believe you are incorrect sir. This is straight off the GAP website: ***Additional tuning services provided by Bell Auto Services (BAS Remaps) and delivered by the IIDTool. Additional charges apply.

Bell Auto Services (BAS) has a number of tunes on their site, mostly diesels and unfortunately not the 5.0 SC (I sent them a note to confirm )By handheld I mean the IIDTool which of course isn't really accurate since it's more of a flash device but you get the idea. (I have an L320 not the 494).
They have never announced any tuning, nor is there any info in their Vendor forum. I would think if they are providing Tuning they would have it all over this site.

However it is delivered it is not GAP providing the remap. It is the BAS group providing the remap. This is more likely a partnership where BAS provides the tune at a discount if your are a GAP customer.

I have a message into Chris to clarify If GAP is doing actual tunes and how BAS factors in.
I received clarification from Chris this morning. GAP does not provide tuning services. Their equipment is simply used to facilitate the tunes provided by BAS. At this time the tunes from BAS are mainly for diesel variants. Chris will be posting something shortly.
