Hi all,

I recently installed a new headliner and sunroof worked before and after... for a bit. I've checked all fuses and relays per the (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) ETM and have power to the sunroof switch and ECU. However, I don't have power out of the ECU to motor... sounds like it could be ECU, but I also lost power to the rear view mirror at the same time. I've checked all those fuses too and they're good.

Any ideas on testing sunroof ECU? Can I just open it up and look for bad solders or issues with the board, like the Window ECU?

Thanks!

Yes you can open it...
It has small solinoids ... probably the ground is bad ...
This happened on my 91...
And I was useing a tester and it grounded the solinoid and it made the motor run...from there I just got creative...

My issue was bad grounds for the motor as well, mine is the metal sunroof on an '89, so not sure if it's the same though.
