Towing Experience with First Edition

Finally had a chance to take out the First Edition on a towing journey.

My hopes were that it would tow at least as well as the last 3 Range Rover Sports that I owned.

However, I was not expecting it to tow better than my '22 SVR.

Well.....of course I was wrong. This vehicle blows away all the others combined.

I guess the combination of increased low end torque from the BMW sourced bi-turbo, to the new dampers and electronic sway bar control, 4 wheels steering, and last, but not least, a much stiffer body - this thing was a beast.

I averaged 85 mph pulling a car trailer as if there was nothing behind me. No sway, no drag, no drama - just smooth.

And all the electronics worked perfectly.

Did you have to remove the tow cover to access the brake controller plug?
I’m not sure about that

The wiring plug manually is rotated down into position when you want to plug into your trailer harness. When done towing, just push (rotate) the plug back up into the space behind the rear valence trim. Very stealthy design and well built.

Wow thats a nice rig you have, and a nice trailer/Pcar,
and the truck probably goes like the hammers of schnell.
Same for the Pcar.
I like that hitch steady bracket too. and a craft way to stow that wire plug.
I thought this thread was going to be about your new Range Rover being towed haha… a bit on edge about reliability I suppose. Glad it’s not!
