Ok guys and gals, totally not. p38 Q for a change. Unfortunately home flooded out, loss adjusters been today, we’re staying with relatives , but never having gone thru this trauma before I don’t actually know what will be classed as personal possessions/effects under my contents cover and wanted some guidance,. Building cover is £1m and I guess internal works for plastering, electrics, doors, flooding, etc will come in at around £12-£15k. If kitchen and white goods, boiler, multi fuel stove etc come off that then I need to add another £20k. Contents cover is £100k But does that include my tools, engine hoist etc etc etc in the garages, adjuster commented there isn’t a great deal of loss downstairs with the exception of garden room, kitchen and utility,BUT there is a lot of total loss stuff in the 2 integral garages. I reckon £8k.+.
Very much an early stage and no perceived aggro but I’d like a steer and awAre I can appoint my own loss adjuster if necessary.
