Top Dead Center?

This may be a stupid question, but how do I get #1 to TDC? I cannot find any marks on the pulley or anything, and the only thing I can find in RAVE is to get the mark on the Timing gear at the 12 o'clock postion, which means I have to do it after the cover is off.

Any tips on getting the crank pulley off with an auto tranny?

I guess a more important question is why? There is no timing adjustment on a P38 so there is no need for timing marks.

As far as removing your crank pulley just hold it tight with a strap wrench and pull the nut.
