Anyone have good results with some type of tint or film on the front wshield?

I am trying to avoid the inferno like temps my car puts out when its parked in the sun ...

I want to think I am crazy but it seems like the RRS gets much hotter inside than my wifes car ... both have black leather...

Sorry for the rant but a 3 minute drive to the cleaners just about killed me ...

Maybe you should back into the slot, that way the sun will heat the tinted rear window! :D

Also...leaving the windows slightly cracked, especially the sun roof will allow the hot air to vent as everyone knows, hot air rises (like in a hot air balloon!)

:D :D :D

Yep, park so the back end (or at least the side - and the opposite side so your seat is in the shade) is facing the sun when you get out (i.e. from work).

Please don't tint your windshield, unless you really want to look like a thug rapper. :geek:

Simply crack a window and pop the sunroof and you'll be fine. :D

Plus, I don't think it's legal in any states...the law usually only allows a 7 inch strip on the top of the windshield or down to the little AS-1 line/marking on the windshield.

Just crack the window open to let the cool ocean breezes in, beachfront. I live in Pasadena, so I am screwed. Seriously though, after a 2-month June gloom type of weather, it did get hot in a hurry around here in the past week, I think we just need to get used to it.

we had the same tow months of "June gloom" here in San Diego and these past couple of weeks warm for SD. Maybe they'll start putting cooling seats in the RRS!

Have you guys ever sat in those? Maybe my nether region is unusually sensitive, but I can't overcome the feeling that I'm sitting in something cold and wet.

I put 50% on my last RRS and this one and LOVE it! Looks sick and completes the tint look and also the "floating roof look." Does it reduce heat in the car? Sure it doesnt hurt, but I merely did it for cosmetics. Someone passes me on the road all the might see is my hand/watch on the top of the wheel. See if i can get some good pics of the car.

My friends Lexus has it and I agree, it's a strange sensation. Sometimes the little crotch vent on the RRS suprises me if it's angled right up the shorts.

Have you tried the 3m Crystaline tint ?.

I had mine done with the legal 30% tint all round and the windscreen in a their clear tint. The difference it made in the car was amazing. The best thing is that when driving it during the day or night I can hardly notice that it has been tinted at all (from the inside). It is about 42 degrees here today, and you really don't feel it in the car.
