Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased my first Range Rover Classic 89'. I love the truck but like most, it has its issues.
I just went underneath it for the first time today and found this.

There is a threaded hole into the tranny, as if there is meant to be some sort of bolt or plug. I have no clue how long that has been... missing?
Is this normal or should there be something there?

should there be something there?... Not necessarily. Different markets have different thing bolted under them. Since it is not leaking and the tranny is working fine, I wouldn;t worry about it at all. I bet if you went end to end through your rig you would find all sorts of blank threaded holes for different configurations.

that is called a wadding plug, it is supposed to be removed when off roading in order to allow water drain. many owners of simply never reinstall it. no harm.
