Hey y'all. Thor V8 4.6L. Using a UV dye in my coolant system, I found that my leak is higher on the back of the engine. I've got a few questions:

1) Any ideas where the leak is coming from?
2) Heard about Core Plugs. How hard are they to get to?
3) Could this be a head gasket?
4) Best way of getting back there to look around more?

Are you sure it isn't a drip from your heater hose landing there and spreading with the air flow over the engine?

There are half inch diameter plugs at either end of the head but I don't know if water is behind them. Impossible to get at without removing the head. Only other plugs are the frost plugs on the block. I would wash the area down with acetone or methanol to dry it out completely and then start the engine. Watch the area to see where the water is coming from. People here don't like this but for a weep like that I would just try radiator leak sealer. It has worked for me on more than one occasion. I'm pretty sure it is the valley gasket or the left head gasket. Thanks folks for your help.
