Hi guys,

My 4.6 is in the garage at the moment and I'm having the sump changed to an alloy one from a Thor as I remember reading it can be done.

Unfortunately the search function isn't working so I thought I would ask if there are any changes that need doing apart from the holes at the back for the bell houseing cover (I think it gets covered over) and longer bolts.

Does it need a new pick up pipe or anything else?

Cheers

No you can use the original pick-up pipe, just need the gasket and the longer bolts for the sump, the three studs at the front are just long enough.
When I changed mine I did however Re-Drill and Tap the Transmission Bellhousing as well to match the bolt holes in the Thor Sump.

Did it about 18 months ago and hasn't leaked a drop of oil since.

Cheers
