Was thinking of smoking that light with VHT nighshades but i'd rather go for the real deal. Has anyone come across a custom smoked or blacked out third brake light? Thanks

If it's custom, it just means somebody else used the VHT Nite Shades and will charge you more. Plus it's a real hassle to take apart that upper tailgate. I did a tutorial on how to DIY if you want to check it out.

sorry, in my mind i meant custom as in someone taking the time to have a mold made and re-casting a new piece out of plastic in the smoked color. if not, i guess i'll just go the VHT way. seems like the easiest way. i just hate doing things in the "rinky dinky" fashion. 8~
