Hi guys, I am thinking to trade my 2009 RRS SC HST for 2013 RRS SC.
It is CPO with 58,000 miles, warranty 7y/100K mls, Sold by LR Dealer and they want just a little under $40K for it, truck is nice and drives well all though wife says it feels stiffer than mine. It is Fuji White with almond interior.
Would you consider price to be fair? Anything particular to check before buy in this generation besides obvious?
Thank you for your input.

Hey Roman,

I just got my 2013 RRS HSE Lux CPO two weeks ago - a few items:
-inquire about the % left on both the brakes and tires. LR has a threshold 'minimum' in order to qualify for CPO. Both my brakes and tires happened to have been on the cusps, and both were changed to 100% new.
-check out the battery. If it is the original from 2013, it could be near last legs? It's a conversation I'm holding with my LR dealer now...
-and (obviously!) be comfortable with the CPO date. My rig happened to have a Fall 2013 in-service date, so CPO is going to Fall 2019...which is pretty good.

Hope this works out for you!

I think so long as you have the extended, factory warranty, you will be fine. My 13 is currently in for service as my original factory warranty expires in a couple weeks. I wanted to get it back in one last time before I have to start paying for repairs. They are replacing the timing chains and tensioners, oil vacuum pump and the "Range Rover" script on the front hood due to discoloration. A couple months ago, I had the front sway bar bushings, water pump and transfer case seal(s) replaced. Other than that, the valve cover gaskets and air suspension pump may be the next to go, or so I'm told. All in all, our 13 RRS has been great. I honestly enjoy it more than our 17 RRS.

For a CPO vehicle, I think your price is great.

Honesty Im not totally sure. I told my service adviser that the car has a slightly rough/excessive vibration upon cold starts. I had no check engine lights however. I'm not sure whether they took the front cover off to look around and found issues or if it was simply based upon what I said. On my old 2011 Range Rover, I had to do the same thing. But in that case, I had a check engine light and the vehicle was towed in. I think the tensioners wear out prematurely and there is slack in the chains.
