I've been thinking of selling the Rangie, all of the jobs have now been done, so twiddling thumbs a bit  just wondering how much I'd get for it? hard to price

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

To get a...?

Not sure about the value, i would imagine prices are all over the shop in the UK at the moment. "It's worth what someone will pay for it" i was once told. All about getting it to the right person. From what i remember it's in pretty good nick and RRC are now really moving into proper classic car status, http://www.graemehunt.com/motor-cars/fo ... -rover-efi so to the right buyer i would have thought it's worth reasonable money. At the local auction it would probably get crucified.

Clubs and specialised media i would have thought would be the best place to sell it, and a bit of patience.
Ah well, I've had my eye on a Mercedes 300SE (W126) I just fancy a change, besides which all the jobs are more or less done now, starting to twiddle thumbs  Am I mad?

You know I was thinking of selling? well it's been sold

The buyer made me an offer I couldn't refuse... He's going to a good home though, a real enthusiast who appreciates all the hard work that's gone into it. I'll be recommending this forum to him as it's been such a wonderful source of advice, encouragement and friendship :thumb:

I'll be sticking around to see if I can offer any advice though :D

Suppose I'd better change my avatar now.....

Instead of the Merc you should pick up a nice Jag and then you wont feel so bad for selling the Rover. :p
Trouble is I've had quite a few Jaguars, they were nice at the time but take more time to maintain than than the Rangie did  I did have my eye on a very nice one owner Daimler Double Six, a real beauty, but I worked out to the mile how much it would cost me and it worked out at something like £2100 a year in fuel (@5000 miles P.A)

Congratulations. Any deal where the seller and buyer come away happy is a good one.

Post some pictures of the Merc or whatever your replacement is.
It was the easiest transaction I've ever done, no kicking of tyres or insulting offers etc., he's picking the Rangie up the weekend, he's over the moon :)

I'm seeing a nice 1996 Mercedes S320 (W140) this week, only two owners, I'll see how it goes :D
