Please can someone help, been using my 2007 TDV8 off road today in low box HDC on, perfect all day, reversed up a slight slope, put into drive now have a horrible noise when driving, says "transmission failure, HDC fault, parking brake realease not available, suspension lowering" won't come out of low box now and horrible noise.

Okay, so what kind of noise are you hearing? Is it a grinding as if the transfer case motor is attempting to change from low to hi and didn;t quite make it? Is the indicator switch properly lit for low range or is it showing high range... or are either flashing? You need to give us a bit more info than "horrible noise".

Hopefully this isn’t your issue but just so you’re aware, due to a lack of anti-seize grease being applied during assembly it’s not uncommon for the splines on the output shaft on the 6HP26 to fail through fretting corrosion.
