I installed the 2010 LED tail lights on my 2003 L322, and have used a resistor on the indicators which successfully stopped the quick flash. I also installed the relay for the fog lights, and this too works perfectly. My problem is that although the lights all function correctly now, I have the 'check rear lights' bulb malfunction warning in the dash.

I'm sure its because of the fog and/or parking lights, but when I added resistors to these.....the indicators glow (dimly), and it makes my brake lights flash in time with the indicators. If I take these back out, the lights all behave as they normally would. Any suggestions about why the added resistors would be supplying power to bulbs not associated with them? I have the US model, with the separate wiring for the side lights.
