For my impending engine swap I am getting conflicting advice regarding what sump i need to use.
I would like to fit a "new" sump as i want to clean and paint it before i take the car off the road. Because i will be fitting the front pannel from my serpentine V8 rather than a v-belt one can I use the sump from a p38 to save me having to bend / grind some more clearance in it or do i need to use the sump from a "classic"?
