I am looking to have them installed as flush to the floor as possible so that I can still use it for cargo.. I don't mind removing the spare tire.. any ideas on how to do this, or have any pictures of such installs?

Thanks!

Here's an IDMax12 going into the tyre well of a 3 series (E36) BMW done by a guy I know in Chicago:

Base made out of f'glass

Top made from Birch with sub recessed:

Grilles and Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro:

Carpetted:

Hopefully that will give you a few clues. One thing you do have to be careful with is carpet slap. Subs move a huge amount of air so the carpet needs to be very well glued to the grille, otherwise it will slap the grille which is a horrible noise.

it's not to hard, but there are several other options also if you do not want to risk not cruising around without a spare.

the right cubby could hold a Hertz mille 10" woofer in a small .4 cubic ft enclosure and it sounds like a pair of 12" woofers. also you have the TW5 JL woofers which are very thin and have the output of a JL Audio W3. Amp can go where the factory enclosure is located easily.
