please help still can,t find the answer i,m looking for tried 3 rotary couplers now and still my steering controls won,t work with my alpine oem stereo i,ve heard somewhere don,t know if it,s right that you have to have the sub woofer fitted is this correct? by the way mine is a 1999 dse did not have steering controls fitted as standard i,ve bought a new steering wheel with the membrane saying hi (think it means hi line) the back of the radio has a space for anothe connector in the middle i take it this is for the sub woofer again not fitted as standard on my vehicle any help would be appreciated as it,s do in me head in now to whats wrong or missing rgds neil :(

Had another search and i,m know getting somewhere in the grey block at the back of the radio there should be a grey/orange wire that works the steering controls this is not fitted on mine now my next question is where does this tab into on the steering wheel loom/block connnector once i know whats what i,ll be able to rig it up .can you purchase this part of the loom ?????????? any help would be appreciated neil

I know this is not going to be easy but best way is to compare with another p38

Subwoofer is not present on all radios and depends which model of radio it is
