an exhaust leak would not be a major repair - probably just an exhaust manifold gadget. No, I haven't taken it in yet as they charge some $200 to look at it. Although I could do it at the dealer probably for free with an oil change. The issue is that I'm about done with the truck and rarely use it. It was great for 11 years but now I've put in some $8,000 in work in one year alone (suspension, radiator, levelers, sway bars, water pump, etc.). So at this point I'd rather just live with it if it is a big fix related to the engine. That's why I was hoping maybe someone had an idea before I took it further. For example, if they have to go into the cylinders, isn't that major labor involved?
