First of all, it's great to be part of the RR forums and this is truly the very best vehicle we have ever owned. Bought her a month ago with 30K on the clock and now it's quite a decision as to whether I take out our BMW GSA or our Whatablast!!

Our plan is to take the month of January off from the Family business ...

We will be in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah & Colorado.

Need your advice on the best trickle charge battery tender and oil pan warmer, so that we may plug in both on our various overnight stays.

We thank you in anticipation.

Safe travels.

Love the spirit of adventure, but riding a BMW GSA in any of those states in January and you'll turn into a popsicle - now summer time and it's a different story!! Regular Sears DieHard Trickle chargers work just fine on the Rover but make sure you have a good battery to begin with, if any doubt, swap it out ASAP to either a Sears Gold AGM or another quality battery (a few threads here on the forum on batteries). Oil pan warmer...no idea on a good one to recommend here...maybe some of our "northern brethren" can recommend one. Maybe worthwhile to put in the right viscosity oil in advance...cheaper insurance to ensure it flows at least at sub zero temperatures.

Thank you PJ.

Didn't mean to imply there was a choice of motorcycle or the RRS for our NW trip in January. We are taking two of our four kids (dogs) while our daughter Morgan runs the Family business.

Went ahead and bought a CTEK ...

Await advice on an block or oil heater ...
