I had another driver stop me on the street today to tell me my spare tire was loose and about to fall off. When I checked it he was right. It swings all over the place and the nut you turn to tighten it just turns but doesn't tighten. Have any of you noticed this?? I am going to the dealership tomorrow to have it checked. The last thing I need is a lawsuit when it falls off on the highway.

Okay, problem solved and a lot more simple than I thought. According to the manual you have to lift the panel up in the back of the trunk area and remove the jack - underneath there is a plastic cap. Take the plastic cap off and there is a bolt in there. You use one of the wrenches included in the tool set under the panel to tighten the bolt. When you do, it sucks the tire up tightly against the underside of the truck. Now everything is tight and safe. It's amazing what you can find out just by taking the time to read the manual a bit.
