I have been having this issue for a while now, although it's somewhat on and off now and then.

My issues is this: I listen to my music, and everything sounds just fine. The sound is crisp, and I can really crank it if I want. However, whenever I change the radio station, or turn the system off, or even just turn the volume down all the way, I get a very noticeable "thump" sound coming from the back of the car. I have a 2001 4.6 HSE with the HK system, and upon inspection, my subwoofer consists of two smaller units (if that helps at all). Nothing like this happens when I power up the system, or change the volume (without going to zero), but whenever the input to the speakers stops, the thump occurs.

Ideas?

Thanks,

I have had that happen occasionally, too. Eventually it just disappears on its own. <shrug> Not sure what's going on.
