Well I worked on the automation equipment for building the frame, and heard thru the plant that they soon stop building the RRS frame because its going to aluminum.
I'm sure the engineers.. with their load test rigs, hundreds of sensors, and CAD renderings.. know a little more than we do about the strength and durability of the new frame vs. the old. Not to mention what shaving off a few hundred pounds will do to the performance and handling. Honestly it with the reduction in weight, your capacities will also increase automatically and/or the frames won't NEED to be as strong because they're supporting less!
...of course, you can most likely expect a sizable price increase haha.
