Stupidly I left a spent, totally brass cartridge in the dash tray and it rolled down into the center air vent. It is at the bottom of the passenger side. Recently the little book indicator came on. So is my cartridge possibly causing a problem or what?

Do you hear a clicking sound on start up? Is it affecting the temp of the ac? Perhaps it's lodged in the vent preventing the blend motor from operating correctly..

I don't hear a clicking sound but will listen for it. AC has never been strong or predictable so maybe the cartridge has contributed to it's marginal performance. How involved is it to get to the blending motors?

Personally I have about 500 bucks in change in my heater system courtesy of my 4 yr old, It just kind of ...lives there.

Fortunately It's a spent cartridge. $500 bucks you say... maybe I should take it all apart anyway. Could be some major treasure. Thanks, I like the idea of it just living there.
