A day or two after bringing home my new '17 SCV8 I realized I couldn't find the SIM card - i assumed I had gotten one from the dealer and just couldn't find it so I called the dealer and asked if I left it there and he said "no, we need to program it for you so let's do that when you're in next week to get your brake controller installed". This sounds fishy to me - shouldnt they have done any programming before I picked up the car? I'm anxious to see how InControl works but now can't do that until next week.

thanks -

Not fishy at all. This is actually done with the customer, usually during delivery or whenever the customer's time permits. They can't do it without you, because you need to create a number of accounts online to register for and activate the InControl services. Likewise for the 3month 3G data plan trial. Be sure to bring your smart phone and that it has a full charge.

Ok, thanks - got it. I just wonder why they didn't do it during the walk through and delivery of the vehicle.
