I need to replace the passenger side mirror on my 1991 RRC - there are several 1993-1995 mirrors available that seem to have a connector like the one in mine (clear plastic), plus an additional connector (blue plastic) which I'm guessing is for the memory function offered on the later models. My question is, does the clear plastic connector on the 1993 mirror work with my connector on the 1991 truck to give mirror control? Here is a picture of my mirror connection:

no, but you can rewire the later mirror with the earlier harness thus retrofitting. other than that it is a straight fit. also a straight fit with wiring retrofit the mirrors of the discovery, I retrofitted D2 mirrors on to my classic. they offer wider viewing areas and angles over the small range rover mirrors specially if you tow.
two wires are the heat the other 3 reverse polarities in order to move the mirror as needed.
