Apparently not or folks just aren't interested in talking taxes on a car site. Have you thought about asking the person who does your company taxes? I would trust your tax person's advice since that is their specialty much more than I would trust a stranger on a car forum.

Bought 3 SUV's in the 2017 year.

GMC Terrain- Nothing. Obviously
Chevy Tahoe- 25k write off in first year. 2k left to write off
LR Range Rover Sport- 69k written off. 0k left

Haven't gotten a clarification as to why one was a 100% and the other was capped at 25k.

Overall value of the vehicle shouldn't be it since the Tahoe was pretty expensive. Diesel Engine over Gasoline? Probably not.

Still happy has 3 years ago my other accountants wrote off 2 SUV's and 2 sprinter vans at the same rate as a standard passenger vehicle. Even when I showed them the official IRS website definition they still screwed it up.
