Looking at putting second Battery in - prob in boot with split charge -

I recall spotting a post some time back with pick of a battery wired in box at side but cant find post-

Where is best to fit second battery -

Have seen ones crammed into original space but not sure what is best -

Any pics / guidance welcome

Cheers - any pics guys - that you can post -

Also want to put in a split charge kit - doesn't need to be massive power but will be drawing about 50+ amps from battery most kits seem to be for caravan fridges - any suggested kits

I'm running 2 sometimes 3 amateur radios and depending upon what power output I'm transmitting. this along with fridge / and couple of other 12v sockets in the rear -

If you can, put the 2nd battery up front to save on the cost of big power wire. If you're going to mount in the rear then don't use car specific 12v power cable because you pay a huge premium for it. Welding cable is about the best stuff. I've recently bought 50mm2 which is excessive for what you or I need, it was about GBP 6/metre from the welding supplier and I was quoted double that at an electrical wholesaler. Car 0gauge (50mm2 equivalent) was ridiculouslly priced. The welding cable is double insulated and has better flexibility.
