Seatbelt trim change

I have experienced deterioration with the seat belt trim for the driver and passenger. It appears that the plastic trim is very soft. I had the driver trim changed three times and the passenger once. It appears the seat belt rubs the trim and creates a gouge in it. It becomes sharp and eventually cuts right through. I am just wondering if anyone else has this same problem and if so was there a more permanent solution.

Pictures would help a ton, are you talking about in the seat or at the pillar ?
