One of the passenger seats currently is showing as a red x on the message center. It becomes a green check when I fasten the seat belt. But, there is no one in the seat. Is this a sensor problem, or a calibration problem? Any idea what is causing this, and how complicated the repair is?

Thanks.

this sounds to me as if the seat or occupancy sensor is activated all of the time. You might try disconnecting the connector and reconnecting it several times, as a bit of corrosion may have set in. Usually a red X means that that location failed a self check. Ray
