So i have an 87 Classic and the seats dont work and they are both leaned back ridiculously far. I was wondering if there was a way i could manually adjust them for the time being till i get some money to fix them or are there common problems with the seat that cause them not to work? also i looked in the fuse panel for the fuse and there are no seat markings in the fuse box or am i crazy? thanks in advance!

Disassemble and clean your seat switches.

Be carefull if you take the switches apart, there are lots of springs and bearings that will fly everywhere.
I would sugest that you spray contact cleaner in the switches first and work the levers back and forth, this usally clears the fault.

The switch can still be moved as the lever is only a cover. You can still move the seats, attach a drill to the cable on slow speed and adjust the seats.modjunkie said:
