Hello,

I'm currently on the market for a PC based OBD scanner. I'm not looking for nothing fancy as the BBS, hawkeye, etc. Just a simple OBD scanner, mainly for emisions related logging.

Having said that, I'm looking with interest at Scan Tool's OBDLink CI for USD 65

http://www.scantool.net/scan-tools/pc-b ... nk-ci.html

The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is that I'm not sure that my 2000 P38 (euro spec, export model, LHD) is compatible. According to the ST website, the 2000 P38 NAS should work, but it isn't clear to me whether my euro spec P38 will work.

So, does anybody know for sure ? I've found contradictory info on their forum, so it's up to rr.net to set this matter straight for me.

Thanks in advance,

N.

Follow up:

1) I borrowed a stand alone OBD2 scanner and retrieved some codes succesfully. I guess my 2000 export model is OBD2 compliant after all.

2) Scantool's OBDLink CI has been discontinued. I'll probably get the regular OBDLink once I recover from a soon to be head gasket job.

I'll post back once I have it.
