Well my rover I inherited from a friend in Chicago has a nice rusted out exhaust system. Luckily I'm in new mexico so rust from here on out won't be an issue. Sadly it seems the center muffler has some holes and both rear mufflers are rusted through just above the tail pipes. The headers appear to be ok. I'm trying to figure the best solution here. Adding up both center and rear OEM mufflers seems to be almost as much as going complete custom. Cheaper to buy a new OEM center and have the rest of the system built. Any thoughts?

My rear pipe was replaced a year ago with a straight through pipe. It's not noticeably noisier than with the rear resonator.

I always understood that rust in exhaust systems wasn't reliant on the climate but rusted mainly because of condensation caused by the combustion process?
I'd love to be wrong then your exhaust will last forever in New Mexico, **** I'm jealous

Eventually, I am going to just get the MagnaFlow single exit kit. Its got the 1 big muffler, and no rear silencer. And its only like 500 bucks on ebay and other sources.

Anyone know if the magnaflow single unit is a bolt on application or does it have to be welded on. The pipe to my middle muffler is seriously rusted. May need to cut it off.
