That looks hot, congrats (and welcome)! Those calipers look like Brembo GTs (are they?), and I thought that kit came with standard drilled discs already. Don't tell me those are fake caliper covers or I'll lose all respect for you.

Yeah -- about the calipers. Are painted calipers an option on the 10's?

Some manufacturers like Porsche designate the type of brake it is by the color of he caliper (i.e standard = black / turbo brakes = red, and ceramics are yellow) Where other manufacturers like Ferrari let you pick whatever color you want (Yellow red or silver) regardless of if you have steel or ceramics. Wondering if LR is moving in either of these directions

hy guys,

i also would like the iphone 3gs - from the list of Landrover it says that is not will fit with the actually RRS PTI (i wonder why it works on a 08 model with the "old" PTI System!?). do you think that LR will give an update on their new PTI System or do have we to accept that the 3Gs is not working on the MY10 Models... also i have the problem with the dimming system... my dealer said LR does not know about that? do you in the staates have an ideas about these "small" problems?

greets

It has been reported by other owners that, while the Bluetooth function of the iPhone 3G S works with MY2010, occasionally the call will not be routed to the speakers, only to the handset. One would hope that Land Rover (or Apple, with a future firmware release) will eventually fix the hiccup. Also, my understanding is that the iPod/iPhone receptacle in the car does not charge the latest generation iPhones / iPod Touch, and you need to purchase a Scosche PassPort charging adapter from Apple. Land Rover is working on that issue, too.

Regarding the dimming, I found this special service message on the GTR:

Title 10my instrument dimmer switch operation
Last Modified 27-AUG-2009 11:23
Category Electrical
Symptom 204000 Instrumentation
Content

Issue
Customers may comment that the instrument lighting dimmer switch does not appear to operate correctly.

Cause
The dimmer switch will only affect the switch background illumination under all master light switch conditions i.e. side, low beam and auto. The dimming of the instrument pack, HLDF gear selector etc will only function in "night mode"
There is a light sensor built into the instrument pack. When the ambient light drops below a pre-determined level, "night mode" is activated, the dimmer switch will then operate all features. In auto headlamp mode the instrument pack still needs to have entered "night mode" for the dimmer switch to function.

Action
If there is a requirement to test the dimmer switch in normal light:

To fool the system to enter "night mode" select side lights on the master light switch, completely cover the area around the instrument pack to block out light ingress and wait for a few minutes. You should then see the instrument pack illumination change when operating the dimmer switch.
